Sarah L. Holdt

VMD, Diplomate, ACVIM (Cardiology)

Dr. Sarah L. Holdt is originally from Philadelphia, PA.  She received her veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. During veterinary school, Dr. Holdt was active in several student groups, and also participated in research investigating inherited disorders of metabolism in dogs. After obtaining her veterinary degree, Dr. Holdt completed a one-year rotating internship at the Hope Advanced Veterinary Center in Vienna, VA, followed by a specialty internship in Emergency and Critical Care at the University of Pennsylvania. She joined CVCA Cardiac Care for Pets in 2014, and works in several CVCA locations in the northern VA and MD area.   She has lectured numerous times on the topics of congestive heart failure, arrhythmia detection and management, congenital cardiac disease, cardiac pathology, and use of various diagnostic tools in the management of cardiac disease.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Holdt enjoys hiking, singing (and other musical ventures), photography, tennis, horseback riding, and of course, spending time with family and friends. Dr. Holdt and her husband live in Arlington with their dogs Ayden, a 12-year-old German Shepherd Mix, and Suki, a 10-year-old Poodle mix.
