Sarah Lehman HoldtVMD, Diplomate, ACVIM (Cardiology)
Dr. Sarah Lehman Holdt is originally from Philadelphia, PA. She graduated from the College of William and Mary with a degree in biology, then attended the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Veterinary Medicine. During veterinary school Dr. Holdt was active in several student groups, and also participated in research investigating inherited disorders of metabolism in dogs. After obtaining her veterinary degree, Dr. Holdt completed a one year rotating internship at the Hope Advanced Veterinary Center in Vienna, VA, followed by a specialty internship in Emergency and Critical Care at the University of Pennsylvania. She joined CVCA in 2014.
Dr. Holdt’s primary interests include the treatment of arrhythmias, congenital cardiac abnormalities, emergency and critical care of cardiac disease, and interventional cardiology. She is currently researching the prevalence and progression of arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy in Bulldogs.
Dr. Holdt is happy to be in the D.C. area, and loves exploring both the city and beautiful surrounding countryside of Northern Virginia. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys hiking, singing (and other musical ventures), photography, tennis, horseback riding, and of course, spending time with family and friends. Dr. Holdt lives in Arlington with her dog “Ayden”, a 10 year old German Shepherd Mix.
