Nick Sbardellati - Residency Trained (Cardiology)
Dr. Sbardellati is seeing patients at our Waltham, MA location.
Dr. Sbardellati (or Dr. Nick to make it easy) grew up in Southern California and has joined our team after practicing cardiology for the past three years at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine.
After meeting his wife, Anna, and graduating from Colorado State University in 2022, Dr. Sbardellati found his way to Athens, GA and completed a small animal rotating internship at UGA (2023). He then stayed on and completed (2026), a three year residency in cardiology and found a keen interest in the emergency intervention and surgical aspects of cardiology. However, nothing means more than helping owners understand the structure and physiology of their pet's heart disease, especially in unique congenital abnormality cases. He is usually quite ready to (poorly) draw a helpful diagram for owners and has a special place in his heart for all "bully" breeds/ mixes.
When Dr. Sbardellati isn't at work, he can be found with his wife biking, weight-lifting, snowboarding, hiking or anything else that keeps their heart rate up. They does their best to manage life in a house with two dogs (Cooper and Izzi) and a tortoise-shell (Tootie).
