Emily Westphal - Diplomate, ACVIM (Cardiology)

Dr. Westphal is seeing patients at our Richmond location.
Dr. Emily Westphal attended Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX, prior to being accepted to veterinary school at Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS. After receiving her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine, she completed a rotating small animal internship at North Carolina State University. She returned to Kansas State for a cardiology residency program and received her board certification in cardiology in 2011. Dr. Westphal moved to the Richmond area shortly after and has been in private practice referral medicine ever since. She has a strong interest in acute and chronic management of heart disease (canine and feline), diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, and arrhythmia management.
Dr. Westphal’s interests in her spare time include playing golf, being active in her church, playing the cello, hiking, traveling, wine tasting and crafting. She also enjoys spending time with her husband (Ryan) and daughter (Sydney), and their two dogs, Jackson and Reagan.
