Dylan DeProspero - Diplomate, ACVIM (Cardiology)

Dr. DeProspero is seeing patients at our Cary, NC and Knightdale, NC locations.
Dr. Dylan DeProspero was born in Tokyo, Japan, but grew up in Apex, North Carolina. He graduated from North Carolina State University with a major in Animal Science and a minor in Genetics.
He received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. Dr. DeProspero then went on to complete a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Following this internship, he then moved to Gainesville, Florida, for a cardiology residency training in the University of Florida Small Animal Hospital. Dr. DeProspero's main interests in cardiology include management of arrhythmias and acute congestive heart failure, as well as congenital cardiac disease. During his cardiology residency, Dr. DeProspero was involved in research and clinical teaching of veterinary students and interns. His research focused on the important role that the electrolyte chloride plays in congestive heart failure in dogs.
When not at work, Dr. DeProspero enjoys spending his free time with his dog Cooper and cat Pippin. He enjoys movies and trying new cooking recipes at home.
Dr. DeProspero is excited to bring his cardiologist services to CVCA in North Carolina.
