Courtney Westcott - Resident in Cardiology
Dr. Courtney Westcott is a cardiology resident working at the Cary and Knightdale offices in North Carolina. As a North Carolina native, she is proud to return to her home state to provide advanced cardiac care to pets and their families.
Dr. Westcott graduated from the Honors College at Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science before earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Georgia. She then completed a rotating internship followed by a specialty cardiology internship at Purdue University.
Dr. Westcott has a particular interest in congenital cardiac disease, with a focus on early recognition and intervention. She is also passionate about empowering clients to better understand and manage their pet’s chronic cardiac disease, with the goal of improving quality of life and long-term outcomes. In addition, she enjoys contributing to clinical research and publishing interesting cases that advance understanding within the field.
Outside of cardiology, Dr. Westcott enjoys exploring North Carolina’s mountains and coastal towns with her husband, hosting themed dinner gatherings for friends, and spending time with her family.
