Tess Sykes graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology as well as her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, she completed a small animal rotating internship in Houston, followed by several years practicing emergency medicine.
Dr. Sykes trained at Texas A&M University for four additional years after graduation, consisting of a research fellowship and cardiology residency. During her cardiology training, Dr. Sykes had a special focus on the Borzoi dog breed. Her cardiology areas of interest are inherited arrhythmias, interventional treatment of congenital and acquired heart disease, and transesophageal echocardiography.
Dr. Sykes has a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, enjoys spending time with family, being involved in her local church, and exploring the Texas Hill Country.
We are pleased to have Dr. Sykes at our Northwest Austin location.
