Lisa has always had a love for animals. She started volunteering at the SPCA animal shelter at the age of 14 and started working in private practice at 16.  After high school, she pursued her dream of becoming a veterinary technician and moved to Denver, CO to attend the Bel-Rea Institute for Animal Technology. After graduating in 1992, she moved back to Maryland and started working at the Chesapeake Veterinary Referral Center (CVRC) with Atlantic Veterinary Internal Medicine. After almost 20 years of service with AVIM she felt it was time for a change. In January 2012, she decided to join CVCA. Her hobbies include camping, cooking, and fostering for several area dog rescue groups. She lives with her husband, son and 2 rescue dogs: “Roxy” a German Shepherd and “Riley” a Labrador Retriever, both of which are K9 and foster failures.
