Sarah grew up in Washington, DC. Sarah graduated from Frostburg State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Chemistry and obtained her Associates Degree in Veterinary technology from Northern Virginia Community College. She had 3 box turtles, 1 cat and 1 rabbit as a child. Naturally, with her love for animals she started volunteering at Friendship Animal Hospital in her senior year of high school where she witnessed her first major surgery and there was no turning back from after that! Since then she has worked at several general practices and specialty practices. She currently has 3 cats at home: “Toulouse” is her main man whom she adopted from her Veterinary Technician school program, and it literally was love at first meow! “Larue” is her “middle child” who was found as a kitten on the streets, and “Cosette” is her fluffy little girl her mom found in her backyard and she was purrfect! She loves to spend time with her husband and two children. Outside of her love for animals, she also enjoys art and movies, all things food and when the opportunity arises, traveling the world!

After spending over 5 years out of the veterinary medicine field she was able to get back into the field and started working at a specialty animal emergency hospital. She has four Bengals “Huey”, “Abby”, “Gus” and “Chip” subtly named “The Herd”. “Chip” has been a patient at CVCA since he was 3 months old.
